The biggest social event on the Ghanaian High School
calendar, GH Senior Prom 2012, which is slated for June 1st 2012,
has witnessed a number of celebrities in the entertainment adding their voice
to the campaign theme for the event, ‘YOUTH AGAINST DRUGS’ (YAD)
Ghanaian celebrities from the Movie, Music, Radio &
Television industry endorsed and added their voice to the ‘YAD’ Campaign using
their twitter accounts, celebs include Juliet Ibrahim, Reggie Rockstone, Trigmatic,
D Black, Raquel, Veronica Commey, Mc Coaches, Possigee, Eazzy, Sandra Ankobiah,
Ameyaw Debrah, Coptic, Quame Junior, Jupitar, Cstraps, Ama K Abebrese, Mzbel,
Nii de King of Accra, DJ Black, Menaye Donkor, Gemini, DJ Akua, Nikki Samonas,
Mensa, DJ Mensah, Ian Otchere & Fiifi Adinkra.
The Youth Against Drugs (YAD) campaign is to champion the
cause of the Ghanaian youth and student hood against the use of hard drugs and
the dangers associated with it. The 2012 PROM KING & QUEEN winners will be
trained as ambassadors to champion the campaign using their
influence and popularity among their peers
Most of the celebs agree to the campaign and have therefore
thrown their support solidly behind it citing the future of our country will be
at risk if the youth and student hood at large don’t stay a drug free life.
Organizers of the GH SENIOR PROM 2012, Fresh Page Concepts
are said to release a full video of the various celebs endorsement soon.
Meanwhile nominations have open to schools for the Prom KING & QUEEN
category.
