The highlights from the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2012 was climaxed when Edem was coincidentally interviewed by Confidence Haugen, who was hosting the Red Carpet Reception alongside K.O.D .
The two have a history some two and a half years ago, when news sprung up that they were dating. A lot was said by the Media and a lot of clarifications came across from both parties, but the incident was still so fresh in the minds of many Ghanaians that, when the two met by chance for the interview, a massive spark from the audience was the end result. It felt like that was what was being awaited the whole time.
As usual, Confidence welcomed Edem to the Nights event as she did to every other celebrity that came her way. They both had a plain talk until she mistakenly mentioned 'Ayigbe Edem', referring to Edem. He did not hesitate to correct her. The shot came at her so fast that, she was caught off guard in shock, telling how long it has been since they made contact.
In an interview today on OK fm, Edem explained that he was not nervous being interviewed by Confidence. 'I was just professional there, doing my job as she was also doing hers. It was just like any other interview, so i had no reason to be nervous', said Edem.
